What Exact Line does
Exact Line helps merchants apply one fixed total discount to a selected cart line in Shopify POS.
Data we process
To authenticate the merchant and operate the app, Exact Line processes Shopify store, app, and session information supplied through Shopify. It also processes the discount configuration and Shopify resource state needed to operate Exact Line.
Exact Line implements Shopify-required privacy webhooks. Those requests can include personal information, although Exact Line does not request Shopify Protected Customer Data for its normal product functionality. The app validates required privacy requests and does not persist customer or order data for normal operation.
We also process limited technical and security metadata needed to keep the service reliable and secure.
Why we process data
We use this information to authenticate the merchant and store, operate Exact Line, maintain required Shopify resources, respond to required privacy requests, and secure, diagnose, and operate the service.
Service providers
Exact Line uses Shopify to provide app, authentication, discount, and privacy-request functionality. The service is hosted on Railway.
Retention
Shopify session information is retained in the app's persistent session storage while it is needed to operate the app. Shopify uninstall and shop-redaction handling removes local sessions for that store. The project does not define one universal retention period for every data category.
Railway has stated that its logs have a fixed physical storage lifetime of 90 days. That fact applies to those logs and is not a retention period for all Exact Line data.
Security
Exact Line uses authenticated Shopify access, signed privacy-request validation, persistent session storage, and safeguards intended to avoid exposing secrets and sensitive request content in normal service logs.
